A tradional Kantha

This one was made by my aunt for my daughter to use. Kanthas are traditionally used in Eastern India as a bed spread or for babies. They are made with old fabric especially old saris or dhotis and embroidered. Embrioderies on kantha are generally free flowing without any blueprint. They can range from flowers to animals to whatever the artist wants. In most cases kanthas used to be made by grandmas or elderly ladies. Now Kanthas are in big demand. I saw Pottery Barn was selling some kanthas as bedspered last spring.
This one’s for you, echo! Happy Valentine’s Day! echo1781 came up with this idea a while ago, and I just couldn’t resist. The audio is from Gintama episodes 11-12, in which Gintoki extols the virtues of strawberry milk. Roy is playing Gin-chan, while Havoc and Riza are filling in for Kagura and a skeptical Shinpachi, respectively. Translation below, courtesy of Rumbel Subs: -Gintoki/Roy: “Listen up! Let’s say you drink too much strawberry milk and have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. But it’s cold outside your bed. I am re-doing my room. I absolutely love the Tommy Hilfiger bed spread titled Rooftop Terrece. If you want to see what it looks like just google it. Anyway… I was wondering what it looked like on a twin bed and not a full sized bed like it is on the internet and at macys. I want to know if anyone has the Rooftop Terrece design on a twin bed.
I also want to know how many pillows look god on it and what kind they are. Because on the full sized bed they have alot of pillows and maybe on a twin bed it will look to full and look like the whole bed is just one big fluffly pillow which isn’t what i want.
i am also getting the matching curtains to match the bed confiter.
I also need to know your opinion on what i should paint my walls. The 2 choice i have come down to are light pinkish, or light lime green.
I have one more thing. If anyone has the Tommy Hilfiger Rooftop Terrece as their bed confiter, i want to know weither the fluff inside the confiter balls up and moves to the corners or something

Answer by Eagle Eye yes it does look nice on a Twin bed and get the pillows that show on the pictures as well stripes and fuchsia

To avoid the comforter from bunching up this all depends on the contents and the care that you will give it , read the label if it’s dry clean only obey the label do not wash it yourself or you will trow it out , once in a while trow it in the drier and run a cold cycle to freshen it up and fluff it up add a Bounce sheet or whatever you use for your drier .

they kept falling off the wall, before we got to the show a very kind guy had been taking the sales for our stuff, he sold one of rpm’s for £30 because it had smashed on the floor!
